Title: Seven White Handkerchiefs

Description: Handkerchief (a): White handkerchief with a floral, pine-like design on one corner, and some light staining. Handkerchief (b): White handkerchief with openwork between the border and the main body, with the initials "LHG" written in the middle. Handkerchief (c): White satin handkerchief with scalloped borders and openwork, and a blue stain near the floral embroidered design. Handkerchief (d): White handkerchief with a bobbin lace border, maybe handmade. Inscribed with the name "C.D. Palms", and one pinprick of a stain- maybe rust or blood. Handkerchief (e): White handkerchief with a significant hole, handle carefully. Also some staining. Handkerchief (f): White handkerchief with a scalloped edge and floral embroidered border. Some staining. Handkerchief (g): White handkerchief with a scalloped edge and eyelet detailed border, which might be hand sewn. One floral embroidery element with a small hole nearby, maybe the embroidery putting strain on the fabric.

Condition Description

Handkerchief (a): Good, some staining. Handkerchief (b): Very good, faint staining. Handkerchief (c): Good, bright blue stain. Handkerchief (d): Excellent, one pinprick of a stain that is rust or blood. Handkerchief (e): Fair, hole in the middle and some staining but the fabric isn't actively falling apart. Handkerchief (f): Very good, some staining. Handkerchief (g): Fair, hole near embroidery and staining. Overall I think these were all stained at the same time, maybe in the 2018 flood.
