from the donor: "I was married in November, 1956 in the dress pictured in the attachment to this message. According to a newspaper clipping, the dress was of ivory peau de feuille. I chose a simple dress because of the rather elaborate head piece with its the veil of silk illusion and lace, loaned by a dear friend. The wedding, held in an Episcopal church in Fairfield, CT, was very traditional with bridesmaids and ushers, followed by a reception at the hunt club. It was very similar to the weddings of my friends, Vassar and others. I am posing with my father, John Chapman.
