Public Information

from the donor: "For my wedding on July 14, 2012, I wore a dress made by my sister, Ellen Adams '98. When I started planning my wedding, I knew I wanted a historical dress but not too costumey, because my wedding was not period. One of my favorite time periods is the late 18th century, so this dress pattern from the 1780s ended up being perfect, especially since my (French) husband and I got married on Bastille Day! My sister (my maid of honor, pictured next to me in the gray dress) is a very talented seamstress, evidently, and she did a fantastic job on this dress. It was very special to wear such a unique dress made with love and care by my sister. The wedding took place in Pittsburgh, PA, and all photos are by Emily O'Donnell.

Best,
Karen Adams '03"
