Description: Dress of cream silk crepe-back satin; drop-waist silhouette; bodice blouses slightly; long sleeves are angled to extend longer on the lower outer edge and have snap closures on the lower inner edge; bateau neckline; four short decorative seams that extend up from the center front seam at the dropped waist; hip level yoke forms a v-shape at the center back; skirt is flared, just below knee length in the front, longer in the back; extra panel of fabric on the right side of the skirt, with two layers, gathered into the lower dropped waist seam.

This cream wedding dress was donated by Mary Lee Hartzell, class of 1953. Mary Lee's mother, Leontine Kennedy McPhillips, class of 1926, wore the dress in her 1929 marriage. The dress was donated along with Mary Lee's own wedding dress, her sister's wedding dress, and her daughter's wedding dress.

Treatment
A simple mannequin was rebuilt to size, formed from a wooden 2 x 4 center support, form padded with batting, and a muslin cover. Arms of batting were inserted to fill out the sleeves.
